You should really try Sacred 2 … It takes a little while to get into, but then you are hooked

In my opinion, Demon’s Souls is the best RPG game in ps3…
I also just saw a review for Two Worlds 2 coming out early next year. I saw the pre orders from ED/Gamestop games online.

Fantastic Blog , many grats. To get to the point you REALY have to try out DEMON SOULS. Im also a huge fun of console RPGs and must tell you its absolutely fantastic and really Hardcore! Fights are really balanced and a simple misstep or mistake can mean instant death…and death is not “cheap” in Demon Souls. Furthermore Boss fights are unique and environmental design is absolutely hillarious. I am an RPG gamers for many years and this game was a whole new experience for me…(Just do not quit after 100+ deaths in the first couple of lvls:)))

I really like the choices this game offers, and the possibility to play the game again and again with different “classes” and “talents”.

First of all, thank you for this website. More than that, I’ve got to ask for help: I’m looking forward to a fantasy rpg to play online on ps3 with one of my friend, do you have any suggestion? I was hoping to get FFXIV but at Gamestop they have told me that it’s been delayed till December 31st, till 2012 if you want, and I don’t feel like waiting that long.

Vandal heart is very good also. Final Fantasy XIII and Enchanted Arms really disapointed me. I’m going to play next Folklore, Borderlands and Agarest: Generation of war.

Im in love with dragon age and fallout and a new rpg gamer and its sweet I would love to hear and rpg games that were good. I was thinking about wow but I got a ps3 so a reply would be helpful.

Im quite new to rpg’s and im thinking in which game im gonna buy when the big releases are coming, so well i made some calculations and i only got the money to buy one rpg game. so i wanted to know in your opinnion wich game you think is gonna be better elder scroll V or dark souls

or demons souls but this one is a hell of a task, hard as hell;
i can give you countless old/new rpg, c-rpg and hack & slash titles for pc if you interested.
many top notch games, unfortunately consoles still do not get the same treatment, but it’s getting better

oh and borderlands and mass effect (the latter a bit less tough) recommended definitely if you can swap scimitar for stayer aug for a bit
I know this is a total shot in the dark, but here goes. Got any suggestions for fans of the original Xenogears for PS1. Preferably turned based, but really looking for something with a great story. Most titles I’ve played on PS3 seem like they care more about graphics and gameplay rather than an emotionally gripping storyline.

short_fuse if you’re looking for a good/emotional story, definitely try Valkyria Chronicles. Should be dirt cheap to buy now. It’s hands down my favorite title for the PS3 as far as content and unique play (turn based with some real-time action movement). Demon’s Souls will always be the most memorable PS3 game for challenge and satisfaction (and 2 broken controllers from ground spiking them in frustration).
just saying assassins creed, ac2, ac brotherhood, and now the best of all assassins creed revelations?? i know a lot of people hated the first so they never plaued the rest but once you get into the story its actually an amazing game(; my personal favourite, even more than mw3!

Hey guys, totally new to the PS3 RPG. Last time I played a console RPG was Shining Force NEO on PS2, before you all start boo-ing, I know the game was pretty simple and bland but thats how I like my console RPGs. I dont really have the time, patience, nor the commitment to play deep rooted, RPGs which I know are way awesome. So anyone know something like Shining Force Neo for the PS3? Something you can just start playing without stress after a day’s work. Thanks!
Thank you so much for creating this list/blog. It’s a nightmare trying to find info on RPG games online. I’ve been addicted to Final Fantasy XII since it came out. bought XIII but was a bit disappointed with that. Just ordered Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and am very excited about it. Cheers!!
Please try Sacred 2 if you haven’t already. I loved that game so much, was so sad when I finished it. Really loved the fact I could play with my boyfriend.

Hi great list here helped me a lot, just finished dark souls got to say my favorite game on ps3 so far although I havent played demons souls yet ( I know wrong way round but from what i hear not that much connection in the way of story) would definitly recommend it to anyone up for a challenge and some seriously great game play, borderlands up next thanks again!!
