Best PS3 rpg games

You know what? I was actually reaaaaaly SAD when I finished this game. Why? Because it’s really awesome! I mean, it’s only 14.99$ on PSN network for full version (around 700mb to download), but it gives you so much fun, that some people say they would pay 60$ for it. Graphics are not very high-end, but they are pretty good. Gameplay looks pretty much like disgaea, only much more cute characters.. And at least it looks like a game for PS3! Not like Disgaea 3, 3rd generation console game that looks like PS2 1998 year game

Soo, I have started playing Final Fantasy XIII and got sooo bored, that I couldn’t finish it. Instead, I decided to try another game. That’s another jRPG, called “White Knight chronicles”. It’s about a young guy who wants to save her princess. Nothing new in the story..
About the gameplay – I actually loved the colors and graphics of the game. I loved the chance to transform to White Knight and do much more damage.. Also I loved some kind of russian accent of one character girl, lol. It’s a simple RPG just to kill your time, I finished it in 25 hours.
Now, the bad things.. First, the game is incredibly easy. I practically finished this game using only one action – “Hack”, while two other chars was set on fighting & healing tactics. I didn’t bother about searching for fire/ice or water/earth weaknesses.. Because a simple hit with a sword does the job. Can you image, even the very last – last boss does the same amount of damage like a regular foe. That’s a really shitty part about this game. Also, inventory/armors system wasn’t something I loved.. I have to admit I didn’t even put any jewelry one the fingers cause I just didn’t see a point to do so. Characters levels up fast, but choosing your skills and characteristic is a little confusing.

So, this is pretty bad review, isn’t it? Well, still for a real ps3 rpg collector and lover, maybe you should get this game. It still delivers some fun

What i can say about this game? WOW! This is what i said after first few hours of gameplay! Really nice, intriguing story. Lot’s of weapons, armors, and characters you can choose from. Non-linear story, which is really fun. At first, when i saw all those trailers with lot’s of blood, i was like yikes.. But when i got this game for Christmas and actually tried it, there is not so much blood in the game. If you look at this game from RPG’ers prisme of seeing, you will get everything you want: you can be a tank, a healer, a mage DPS or a rogue! Not in mood of healing? Just click R2 few times and you already tank who is trying to get aggro from all angry mobs.. Wanna steal something or do a nasty backstab? Click and switch to rogue And etc etc..
What else i like about this game, it’s lot’s of answers in the dialogues with NPC. You can take the party of a good guy, who always wants to help.. Or you can take the part where you just beeing harsh with everyone who you meet. But be carefull! Sometimes you can ruin your whole storyline..
Anyway, i really suggest you get this game. As i know, the first wave of buyers ended, so now they made this game a little cheaper and getting you ready for the new expansion, which hopefully will get out on march..

If you want to buy this game right now, from a shop which can be trusted, i suggest you do this on amazon – (click here to buy Dragon Age:Origins). Last time i checked price was 56$ for this game.. Which is very cheap if you consider that you will be playing for more than 100 hours of gameplay!

For those who just dropped from the tree.. You can already preorder final fantasy XIII and it will be ready on march 2010. Don’t miss the oportuinity to get the game as fast as possible.. Cause seems like it will be the hit of 2010!

Yes, that’s a pretty old game. It was first released for XboX360, and only one year later ported to PS3. It’s very good looking and beautiful, goodish story. By that i mean there is no dark tunnels, dark graphics and etc. Everything is very colorful. Somehow it’s a little similar to Valkyria Chronicles, if you played that game..

One thing i don’t like about this game tough, that in later levels it get’s more action RPG than turn based (wich i preffer more). It’s more button mashing than in other games.. Also you have very small ammount of time when you can think of what to do next.

I have to admit, i didn’t finished the game. I don’t know why, guess because i have some changes in my real life, and they are now more interesting for me than the Eternal Sonata. Alltough real RPG fans will enjoy this game and it will be great addition to your collection.

Amazon has it for about 50$ (at least the day when i checked). You should get this game to kill some time, really! Another great ps3 rpg.

So i haven’t got addiction to Fallout 3 for some reason. I don’t know, i didn’t liked that game at all. Maybe because i hate shooters, and fallout 3 is very similar to them.. Or maybe that aura that leads you in the game, about the bombing and stuff, didn’t bring me any joy.. I don’t know actually Well, i put this disc in the box to cach some dust from now.

Now im hyped about the game, wich i missed for some reason! It’s released in Asia/Korea on 2009 February 2, and it has full voice acting and subtitles in english! The North American version will arive only on 2009 October 6th. I’m very hyped and anxious to see the game.

It’s a hardcore action RPG.. And it’s really, really hard as i found out from the reviews. You can see the import review here, on gametrailers:

BTW, this game will be released on 2009 OCTOBER 6TH to North America. English version and american servers for multiplayer.

But?

I don’t really fall in love with that game. I mean, i haven’t got catched by all the hype about this game. I really loved Oblivion, but with this one.. Something is not right. Maybe it’s because i hate shooters, and Fallout 3 have some elements of that type. I still on level 7 or smth, and seems like i still got lot’s of story in front of me. When i manage to finish it.. I will write you a short review In that time – i suggest you look for reviews somewhere else, lol ;D

I have ordered it from Ebay, but seems like package is lost somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Gladly, seller refunded me the money, and today i have ordered it again. Let’s hope i’l get it in few weeks! That’s a really must – have rpg for the PS3.. You can be sure i’l give you a review after i get it, lol

My opinion
This game is really great! That’s a Strategy RPG, where you don’t have too much free wandering, you go from fight to figth. Game is totally linear, but it’s not a bad thing. The story is great, and fighting with enemies is really great time spending! Currently i have more than 40+ hours gameplay, and im in the last chapter. I’m so sad it will gonna end soon – cause the game is really fun and beautiful. Currently it’s almost the best ps3 rpg i have played so far.. Take a look at reviews, and you will be thinking the same, i think

I paid for mine about 50$ with shipping, and you know what, it’s worth every single Penny! Really great game, with great story and great characters. Everyone who loves RPG, and owns Playstation 3 console, it’s MUST HAVE.

My Opinion

If you loved the Final Fantasy series on PS2, especially FFX, then you should take a look into this game. They share lot’s of common stuff (seems like guys who made Enchanted Arms just copied some of bes things from FFX). But you know what – since there is no FF on PS3, i still enjoyed this jRPG, i finished it in 40+ hours of gameplay, and i really loved the story. Things i didn’t liked – lot’s of random battles, and when saying LOT’s, i mean it! Not much of moving video clips, instead of it there is lot’s of text to read, so if you have a small TV, don’t buy this game. It will be a headache to read text, and without it you will not feel the game itself, cause not all of the dialogues are read out loud by characters. All other stuff about the game is pretty good, and you can see all of it on those video reviews:

Note that this review is made for XBOX360 again (LOL), but the game doesn’t differs alot from the PS3 version, so you should see what’s good about the game.

Myself i bought it from ebay, and seller shipped me it directly from Canada. Thanks god PS3 games are region-free, so we can play any version on any console. If you don’t like ebay too much, you can get it from the Amazon – Enchanted arms. I hope you will love this game! Cause myself, waiting for Fallout 3 to come by, i was really happy to have it and be able to play this PS3 RPG game.
